Excess body hair can be unsightly - shaving, waxing, tweezing and depilatory creams are only temporary methods of removing unwanted hair and they can be painful, messy and have associated problems.
Permanent hair removal can be achieved with Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) laser technology. Christine at Castle SkinCareClinic has used IPL laser techology for over 10 years which uses light to destroy the follicles of growing hair. The system produces intense pulses of light which are absorbed by the melanin in actively growing (anagen) hair. As the light is asorbed it generates heat which, in turn, destroys the hair follicle without affecting the surrounding skin. Once this is destroyed the hair can never grow again.
Depending on the body area, intervals between treatments can vary from 6 weeks (facial) to 18 weeks (legs).
An exact price for the treatment will be given at the consultation . This will depend on the size of the area that needs treating.
The Consultation Fee for any IPL Treatment is £25, this includes a Patch Test on the area you wish to be treated. The £25 will then be deducted off your first full treatment price.
